Swindon Town have told Celtic they will have to pay £2.5million to land striker Simon Cox.

The Scottish champions have been linked with a move for the prolific hitman, as well as teenage defender Sean Morrison.

Town chairman Andrew Fitton told the Scottish Daily Mail: "We value Simon at £2.5million. We have made no secret of what we think his value is."

He added: "I'm not surprised Celtic's interest is not going away because Simon is a class player.

"We have had two approaches from clubs but nothing in writing."

Meanwhile, Shunsuke Nakamura says he will play through the pain barrier in a bid to help Celtic win the title.

The Japanese international - tipped for a return to his homeland in the summer - has been troubled by a groin problem but is determined to face Hearts on Sunday.

He told the Daily Record: "I still have a lot of pain in my groin and I will have to take tablets all week to make sure that I can play for as long as possible.

"I'm desperate to play in the game because it is such a huge match for Celtic."
