Lee Clark praised his Huddersfield side for a vital win at Carlisle and admitted they aren’t paying attention to anyone else.

The Terriers moved to within a point of the top six after their fourth away success of the campaign but Clark insists they can’t affect what the sides above them do and are just focusing on their won results.

He told www.htafc.com: “We will continue to focus on getting our house in order and getting positive results. We try and give the players and in-depth analysis of the opposition and that is all we can worry about.

“We can only affect our results and if other results elsewhere go in our favour then that is all well and good.

“We have another tough game at Hartlepool on Saturday, but this is a good start to what it is a difficult period for us.

“I would love a similar performance at Hartlepool on Saturday attacking-wise. I fully expect a very tough game up there as they gave us a real test in the middle of a good patch at our place earlier in the season.

“We know it will be tough – it’s never easy there – but we have already talked about it and the preparations starts now.

“The players will prepare correctly and be up for the fight. There are never any easy games and regardless of who you are playing, you have to earn the right to play.”
