With the notorious La Manga affair now almost 12 months behind him, Keith Gillespie has credited Leicester manager Craig Levein with responsibility for saving a career in jeopardy.Gillespie, Paul Dickov and Frank Sinclair had been accused of committing sexual assault while the Foxes were at a training camp in the Spanish resort during March 2004. Of the trio - who spent eight days in jail while the allegations were investigated - only Gillespie remains at Leicester with Dickov having moved to Blackburn and Sinclair to Burnley. After being cleared of all charges, Gillespie found his career at Leicester stalling under boss Micky Adams, only for managerial successor Levein to rejuvenate him, and the Irishman said: "Things turn around in football and it has been about a year now since the La Manga thing, a year since I was in a jail cell."
