Torquay could be boosted by the return of experienced midfielders Lee Mansell and Wayne Carlisle ahead of the visit of Accrington.
Mansell was ruled out of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at relegation rivals Cheltenham Town with a head injury but is now back in training and could feature against John Coleman's side.
Carlisle is also back in training following a knee problem which has kept him on the sidelines for the past month.
Striker Scott Rendell (broken arm) is back in non-contact training with the aid of a protective cast but remains unavailable.
Goalkeeper Michael Poke is also likely to miss out once again as he continues to battle a groin injury, so Scott Bevan should continue between the sticks.
John Coleman is expected to field an unchanged Stanley side.
Accrington ended a run of three League Two games without a win by beating Bradford 2-0 last weekend to get their play-off push back on track.
Coleman will have to make changes on the bench though, with on-loan striker Billy Kee and defender Jonny Flynn away on international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s.
The Stanley boss had hoped to bring in an unnamed defender, believed to be from a Premier League club, on loan but he revealed the deal will not be completed before the trip to Plainmoor.
Stanley, whose game against Burton was postponed in midweek due to a frozen pitch, occupy ninth place in the table and are just two points outside the top seven.
