Tranmere's fixture with Yeovil at Prenton Park on Saturday has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Heavy rain has left water standing on sections of the playing surface and with more showers expected, match referee Graham Salisbury decided to postpone the match following a pitch inspection.

Tranmere's chief executive Mick Horton told the club's official website: "We are really disappointed the game won't take place, but with heavy rain forecast overnight and tomorrow, we can fully understand the referee's decision."
