Jay O'Shea and Kerrea Gilbert were among four trialists to feature in MK Dons' friendly victory over St Neots Town.

Irish attacker O'Shea is available on a free transfer after leaving Birmingham. He scored in the 4-1 win, which also saw former Arsenal youngster Gilbert feature for Karl Robinson's side. Ex-Wolves defender John Dunleavy and goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin were involved too, and Robinson was pleased with the trialists' contribution.

"We have had a number of trialists in and they all did really well," he told the club's official website.

"We're running a small squad this year and in these games we need bodies to come in and help us out, and we are helping them out by getting them fit and letting other clubs look at them.

"We are looking at players all the time, we've got a few players that we're chasing at the moment. I'm looking for players who really make an impact."
