Hereford boss Graham Turner slammed his side's performance as they recorded a 25th league defeat of the campaign with a 2-1 loss to Brighton.
Goals from Tom Fraser and Lloyd Owusu put the Seagulls in front before Kris Taylor netted a consolation for the Bulls in injury time after Brighton goalkeeper Michel Kuipers had saved a Stephen Guinan penalty.
Turner, whose side are 11 points adrift of safety with just six games remaining, said: "We made it too easy for them - you can`t say to the players that they have got to win the game, they know that."
He added: "It`s a question of how we can win it and in the first half I thought we avoided the ball in a lot of positions.
"They almost had a back five at times and we were content to knock the ball out of our own half and they gobbled those up."
