Hartlepool manager Mick Wadsworth has signed a new contract at Victoria Park.

Wadsworth, 60, was handed the role of caretaker manager four games into last season following the resignation of director of sport Chris Turner.

Pools have not disclosed the length of the contract signed by Wadsworth, who was asked by the club in December to stay in charge for the remainder of the campaign and guided Pools to a 16th-placed finish in npower League One.

Wadsworth has enjoyed a 26-year coaching career and has previously managed Carlisle, Huddersfield and Oldham. He has also worked as assistant manager at Newcastle and Norwich.
