Burton have signed Richard Walker on a two-year contract following the striker`s release by Bristol Rovers.

The 31-year-old becomes manager Paul Peschisolido`s third signing this summer as the Canadian plans for life in the Football League.

Peschisolido told Burton`s official website: "I am absolutely delighted to get a player of Richard's experience. He has got an excellent goalscoring record and played at a higher level."

He added: "Richard will undoubtedly add to what we have already got and he will definitely improve us."

Former Aston Villa trainee Walker joined Bristol Rovers in 2004 and scored 46 goals in 143 league appearances for the club.
