Sheffield Wednesday's transfer deadline day signing Ryan Lowe is hoping his goals can help fire the club to a double promotion to propel them to the glitz of the Barclays Premier League.
The 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Owls after scoring 49 goals in 85 starts for former club Bury.
Lowe's form last season, which saw him score in nine successive games for the Shakers, saw him earn the PFA League Two Player of the Year and the striker hopes he can do his reputation justice upon his move to Hillsborough.
"My record speaks for itself. There's a lot of expectation coming to a big club but hopefully I can start scoring some goals here and help this club climb the Football League.
"I know what has to go into it, your heart has to be there and you have to be willing to work. I can be ruthless as well, if a midfielder doesn't pass to me or hasn't passed to me, I'll give him an earful.
"I have the experience and I know what's required because of the way I have been brought up."
After firing Bury to promotion from Npower League Two last season, Lowe has wasted little time acclimatising to life in Npower League One, scoring seven goals this season, including one against Wednesday a fortnight ago.
Despite being on the winning side, Lowe admits the vocal visiting fans, which saw their team lose 2-1, made a big impression on him.
"The fans gave me a tingle when Bury played Wednesday. Hopefully they will cheer me on, I can cheer them on and we can enjoy some success together," he added.
"It's the fans, the club, the manager and the chairman that has attracted me to Sheffield Wednesday.
"The history this club has got is phenomenal. My aim is to help get us out of League 1, then the Championship and back into the Premier League."
