Andy Williams scored one goal and made another to set up a convincing 3-0 win for Bristol Rovers against Swindon.

Restored to his favoured striking role, Williams raced onto Pat Baldwin's 10th-minute pass before coolly shooting past David Lucas.

Two minutes later Williams turned provider with a low cross for Jeff Hughes to flick home. Jo Kuffour added the third goal on 34 minutes, shooting into the roof of the net from Stuart Campbell's quickly taken free-kick.

Hughes hit the crossbar with a delicate chip on 69 minutes as Rovers produced a comprehensive performance.

Swindon's best chance fell to substitute Alan O'Brien who produced a weak finish when unmarked in the box five minutes after the break.

Rovers defender Steve Elliott cleared off the line from Alan Sheehan just before half-time, but it was an off day for Danny Wilson's visitors.
