Crewe defender Danny Woodards has rejected the club's offer of a new contract, while midfielder Eugen Bopp has also left the club.

The 25-year-old joined the Alex from Exeter in January 2007 but will now be able to leave the club on a free transfer.

Midfielder Bopp's contract was "mutually cancelled" on Thursday, having been limited to just 21 appearances in all competitions.

Bopp became the 10th player to leave Gudjon Thordarson's relegated side, with a further six returning to their parent clubs after the end of their loan spells at Gresty Road.

Meanwhile, club physio Barry Holmes will be leaving the club next month after deciding to focus his attention on his own private practice.
