Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston has moved quickly to play down speculation that Neale Cooper had quit as manager of Hartlepool to take up the reins at East End Park. The former Pars player´s surprise departure from Victoria Park on Wednesday afternoon came with the English club still chasing a place in the Coca-Cola Football League One play-offs. But, having put Jim Leishman in temporary charge on Tuesday after the sacking of Davie Hay, Yorkston categorically denied that he had spoken to Cooper in a year."I haven´t spoken to anybody about this, never mind Neale," Yorkston, who gave Hay a vote of confidence on Sunday before sacking him on Monday, said.
