Crewe have offered Bertrand Bossu a two-month contract after a successful trial.
The former Walsall and Aberdeen keeper has impressed the club's coaching staff despite being on the end of a 5-3 defeat in Tuesday's reserve game with Bournemouth.
Should he choose to accept their offer, the 29-year-old will stay with the Alex until at least the start of January.
