Dagenham & Redbridge captain Mark Arber has walked off with the npower League Two player of the month award.

The centre-back has marshalled a defence which has conceded just four goals in their opening six fixtures this season, helping his team to eighth place in the table.

Arber beat off competition from Barnet striker Izale McLeod, Tyrone Barnett of Crawley and Port Vale's Doug Loft to the prize.
