Notts County manager Hans Backe has received a triple boost ahead of Aldershot's trip to Meadow Lane.

Ben Davies, Dan Jones and Johnnie Jackson are all back in the frame after recovering from their respective injuries and illnesses.

Davies and Jones missed last weekend's 3-3 draw with Bury at Gigg Lane after falling ill in the team hotel hours before the match.

But the duo have both recovered and are in contention to face the Shots.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham midfielder Jackson has recovered from a slight calf injury, which ruled the 27-year-old out of last weekend's match.

However, Backe will not be able to play Coventry centre-back Elliot Ward, who on Thursday turned down the chance to join the Magpies on loan.

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon will welcome defender Dave Winfield back into his squad for the trip.

Winfield has missed the last three games through suspension after he was sent off against Shrewsbury last month but is available to face the Magpies.

He could be called upon to replace captain Adam Hinshelwood, who came off during last Saturday's goalless draw with Macclesfield as a result of his long-standing knee problem.

Hinshelwood remains a doubt for the trip to Meadow Lane but Dillon is hopeful he will be passed fit.

He told Press Association Sport: "We will have a look at Adam and see how he is but he will travel with the squad. He is in control of the injury and he knows how far he can push himself."

John Halls made a return from a groin injury to be on the bench last week and he will again feature, leaving Dean Howell as the only long-term absentee as he recovers from his hip injury.
