Stuart McCall must work with a much lower playing budget next season if he decides to stay at Valley Parade.

The Bradford manager, who vowed to quit five weeks ago if City failed to make the play-offs, is scheduled to meet with the club's board on Tuesday afternoon to determine his future.

Bradford's joint-chairman Mark Lawn said: "We will go right into the details of the budget with Stuart. We will tell him what it will mean if so-and-so stays or goes and then he can make his choice."

He added: "There are some contracts with options and we'll have to wait and see what decision those players make.

"There are quite a few contracts up, but most footballers don't know until the end of the season where they will be. They'll have been in this position before."

City fans have stepped up their campaign to persuade him to stay, while McCall has also been contacted by fellow managers - Sir Alex Ferguson included - and former team-mates in a bid to make him change his mind.
