Barnet manager Mark Stimson has added another new face to his squad by securing the signing of Tottenham youngster Sam Cox.

The 19-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at White Hart Lane but was released by the club at the end of last season, can play as a full-back or holding midfield player.

Cox has experience of League Two as he spent loan spells at Torquay and Cheltenham during the 2009/10 campaign. During his time with the Gulls he made a substitute appearance against the Bees in the 1-1 draw at Underhill in January. Barnet manager Mark Stimson told the club's official website: "He (Cox) is a young player who has been with a big club and I look forward to helping him develop his potential."
