"disaster" at St Mary´s....

Brentford chairman Eddie Rogers has vowed to review the club´s ticketing policy due to the segregation row which threatens to overshadow their FA Cup fifth-round clash with Southampton on Saturday.

Saints officials have taken steps to safeguard fans after Bees boss Martin Allen warned of a potential "disaster" at St Mary´s. Brentford have already sold their 3,200 tickets - they were initially allocated 4,700 seats but requested a reduction as they were not on a ´sale-or-return´ basis.

Yet not only did Brentford underestimate the number of fans interested in attending the match, but they compounded the problem by putting the tickets on general sale. Many season ticket-holders missed out and Allen warned up to 3,000 Brentford fans would try to buy tickets designated for Saints fans in a stadium which is not expected to be full.
