Striker Guy Madjo has become Stevenage's first summer signing since the club gained promotion to League One.

The 26-year-old, whose move remains subject to international clearance, was released by Shrewsbury in 2008 and has spent the last two years plying his trade in China and Albania.

Madjo played for Petersfield Town, Bristol City, Forest Green, Stafford Rangers and Crawley before his move to Shrews, while he has also represented Cameroon at international level.

Boro boss Graham Westley told the club's official website: "Guy is yet another player with unfulfilled potential. He is quick, strong and has a great eye for goal.

"He compliments the other strikers already at the club and is sure to improve by working alongside them.

"He has it all to do but I am sure he will go on to prove he is worth the confidence I have in him."
