League One newcomers Brentford are close to signing Dagenham trio Sam Saunders, Danny Foster and Ben Strevens.

All three players are out of contract at Victoria Road and despite offers from the club to stay look set to join Andy Scott's side.

Winger Saunders told skysports.com that his move should be completed sooner rather than later, he said: "Nothing has been signed yet, but we aren't far away from concluding things. The talks are at a very advanced stage and I have already completed a medical, so it should be happening soon.It looks like all three of us are going there, which is good news for us because we know each others' games very well."

He added: "It is obviously good for everyone if the players know each other's game inside and out and that is what Brentford are getting by signing all three of us."Í
