Bradford midfielder Lee Bullock did not contemplate rejecting the new deal offered to him by manager Stuart McCall despite a drop in wages.

The 28-year-old signed a new one-year contract at Valley Parade earlier this summer and, after missing over three months of last season, felt he was in no position to complain about a pay cut.

"There's been a lot reported about pay cuts, but in a way I need to give a bit back," he told the Telegraph & Argus. "They looked after me and I'm more than happy to pay them back."

He added: "It was never in doubt I was going to sign again, as soon as the manager offered me a new contract, I told him I wanted to stay."
