Hereford are beginning work to bring the Meadow End at Edgar Street up to scratch.
The Bulls fell foul of a safety inspection at the start of the season which resulted in the Blackfriars End being closed, while maintenance work was also requested to be carried out in the Meadow End and Len Weston terraced side. That work will now get under way with the next home game not until Shrewsbury's visit on November 24.
"We start strengthening the (crush) barriers on Monday and the single barriers at the back will be made into continuous ones. That's a requirement of the Green Guide, which is a Football League Safety at Sports Ground guide," chairman Graham Turner told the club's official website.
"Things like that are ongoing but they are just distractions, the important thing is what's going on on the pitch."
Speaking about developments regarding the Blackfriars End, he added: "There's not an awful lot to report. There are ongoing discussions with both architects. There's not any real areas of conflict but obviously there's a lot to be resolved.
"They're talking about vehicular access, making sure there is segregation, disabled facilities have got to be incorporated, all those things take a little bit of time. That's what we're doing at the moment."
