League Two new boys Burton heaped more pressure on Lincoln's under-delivering boss Peter Jackson with a 2-0 win at Sincil Bank.

Ryan Austin netted a simple first-half header to set them on their way and substitute Russell Penn made it 2-0 with a superb lob from 25 yards in added time.

Grimsby earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 success at Bury courtesy of Barry Conlan's 20th minute strike.

Port Vale left Darlington rock bottom with a 1-0 home win that was secured by Marc Richards' 29th minute goal. Darlington missed the chance to level the scores in the 80th minute when Gary Smith missed a penalty.

Shrewsbury and Chesterfield shared a point in a 1-1 draw. Steven Leslie put the home side in front in the 31st minute but Jamie Lowry levelled for Chesterfield midway through the second-half.
