Football League new comers Burton travel to last season's Coca-Cola League Two play-off final losers Shrewsbury on the opening day of the season.

Burton, who won the Blue Square Premier title last term, face Morecambe on the second weekend and Torquay, who won the Blue Square Premier play-offs, on August 18.

Torquay first host Chesterfield in Devon while completing their season at home to Grimsby.

Shrewsbury, who will begin the season as one of the favourites for promotion, face a potentially critical month of fixtures in April, meeting three of the teams relegated from League One last season.

The Shrews meet Crewe on September 12 and April 10, Cheltenham on September 29 and April 13 and Northampton on September 26 and April 24, while facing Hereford, who were also relegated last term, on November 24 and February 13.

Northampton's season begins at home to Macclesfield and ends against Bury, Crewe face Dagenham on the opening day, Cheltenham meet Grimsby and Hereford travel to Morecambe.

Play-off semi-final losers Bury meet Bournemouth on the opening day and Rochdale travel to Port Vale.
