Stevenage boss Graham Westley will be without captain Mark Roberts for the home clash against Hereford.
The 27-year-old defender was dismissed in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Torquay for denying Gulls striker Chris Zebroski a clear goalscoring opportunity and will serve a one-match ban.
Luke Foster and Darius Charles will now battle it out to replace the centre-back in the starting line-up.
Westley could also be tempted to make further changes following his side's first defeat in five games against the Gulls, with striker Craig Reid and top-scorer Byron Harrison pushing for starts along with midfielders Stacy Long and Robert Sinclair.
Midfielder Darren Murphy, who has made one appearance this season due to a dislocated shoulder and broken leg, could return to the squad.
Hereford have signed Adrian Patulea ahead of the trip but on-loan midfielder Harry Pell will not feature having been recalled by Bristol Rovers.
Striker Patulea has arrived until the end of the season having been released by Leyton Orient in January and will go straight into the squad at Broadhall Way.
However, his arrival has been tempered by the loss of influential midfielder Pell who has been called back by his parent club, just a week after extending his stay at Edgar Street by another month.
Pell`s departure means manager Jamie Pitman will be forced into at least one change from the XI who went down 3-0 at home to Bury on Saturday.
Pitman has no new injury or suspension concerns from the weekend.
