Notts County are expected to confirm the appointment of former Burnley boss Steve Cotterill as their new manager on Tuesday afternoon.

Cotterill is set to replace current caretaker boss Dave Kevan, who was assistant manager under Cotterill at Turf Moor between 2004-2007, on a deal running until the end of the season.

The 45-year-old, who has also had spells as manager of League of Ireland side Sligo, Cheltenham and Stoke, has been out of work since leaving Burnley in 2007.

According to reports, the Coca-Cola League Two side will also confirm that they will not be going into administration after settling their debt to HM Revenue and Customs.
