Dario Gradi has admitted he would be open to the prospect of bringing back Kenny Lunt to Crewe for a remarkable fourth stint at the club.

With Lunt available on a free transfer should he turn down the reduced contract offered at current club Hereford, Gradi spoke enthusiastically about a return for the midfielder.

Gradi told the club's official website: "It is difficult to turn down very good players on a free transfer and Kenny (Lunt) would fall into that category if he was to become available again."

He added: "I am sure Kenny would like to come back here but it doesn't always work like that. We had him back in the past and the likes of Neil Sorvel have done well for us when coming back."

The last of Lunt's three spells at Gresty Road came on-loan while he was at Sheffield Wednesday in the 2007-08 season.
