Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still warned his strikers they need to start taking their chances if they want to make the play-offs.
Still's team dominated at Lincoln, but could only manage a 33rd-minute goal from Jon Nurse and were made to pay when David Somma secured a point for Lincoln midway through the second half.
Still said: "We started very slowly, but in the end we had enough chances to win by two or three goals."
He added: "I was really pleased with the way we played. On another day it could easily have gone for us. Once we settled down we were in the ascendancy."
Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy was quick to praise his match-winning duo Jim Bentley and Simon Hackney after the Shrimps' 1-0 victory over Hereford at Edgar Street.
Morecambe took the lead in the 23rd minute when Bentley beat goalkeeper Adam Bartlett with a close-range header from a cross by Hackney.
"It was a fantastic cross from Hackney and a terrific header from Jim Bentley," said McIlroy. "But we missed a couple of chances as well which should have been taken, but unfortunately we didn't and it almost opened the door for Hereford."
Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore was bitterly disappointed after his side lost the chance to get into the automatic promotion places with a 2-1 defeat at Accrington.
Stanley took a deserved lead in the 18th minute through Michael Symes but Josh Walker equalised for the Millers, who could have gone on to win the game. However, a late goal by Accrington's Jimmy Ryan meant they left the Crown Ground pointless.
Moore said: "You wonder what turns the lads on sometimes. This was a massive game for us and we could have gone third in the league and we had changed nothing, but the first half was unacceptable. We got it right in the second half and should have come away with something, so I'm disappointed."
