Rochdale closed the gap on Coca-Cola League Two leaders Bournemouth with an impressive 2-1 win over Notts County.

County are now four games without a win after goals from Chris Dagnall and Chris O'Grady rendered Ben Davies' opener academic.

Dale were able to gain ground on the Cherries after they could do no better than a 0-0 home draw with Dagenham and Redbridge.

Rotherham moved up a place to third as two goals from Adam Le Fondre proved enough to see off Lincoln while Accrington's home game with Macclesfield was earlier postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Cheltenham enjoyed a morale-boosting 5-1 hammering of Barnet to open a six-point gap over the bottom two. John O'Flynn opened the scoring for Barnet but Andy Gallinagh, Ben Marshall (two) and Justin Richards netted, while there was also an Ismail Yakubu own goal.

Andy Morrel was on target twice as Bury gatecrashed the top six with a 2-1 defeat of fifth-placed Chesterfield.

Rock-bottom Darlington slumped to a 4-0 reverse at home to Morecambe, Phil Jevons, Stewart Drummond, Laurence Wilson and Wayne Curtis scoring.

Aldershot scored twice in the last 10 minutes to overcome a Northampton side who had taken an 18th-minute lead through Luke Guttridge. Scott Donnelly equalised from the spot before Marvin Morgan's 89th-minute winner.

Crewe defeated Burton Albion 2-1, with Clayton Donaldson and Joel Grant scoring before Richard Walker's last-gasp consolation while Bradford piled the pressure on struggling Grimsby with a 3-0 away win courtesy of goals from Simon Whaley, James Hanson and Steve Williams.

Hereford held off Shrewsbury to complete a 2-1 win at Edgar Street, Gavin McCallum slotting the crucial second, while substitute Rob Taylor scored the final goal in Port Vale's 2-2 draw with Torquay.
