Wrexham were finally relegated to League Two after losing 2-1 to play-off hopefuls Brentford.The Bees were on the back foot from the start and went behind after just six minutes when a Darren Ferguson corner was put past his own goalkeeper by Eddie Hutchinson from close range.Unable to convert their superiority into further goals, the home side were caught out in the 68th minute when a near post corner was flicked on for Isaiah Rankin to head home the equaliser, but Brentford sealed the win in stoppage time as a long ball from defence was headed back down to substitute Scott P Fitzgerald, whose low shot from 20 yards found the corner of the net.
