Peterborough have appointed Wrexham midfielder Darren Ferguson as player-manager.The 34-year-old takes over at London Road from Keith Alexander, who was sacked earlier this month following a run of six successive league defeats. Kevin Russell has been appointed assistant manager, while Tommy Taylor will remain first-team coach.Director of football Barry Fry told the club´s official website: "Darren´s experience at this level is seen as a huge asset in our attempt to get promoted."
