Port Vale boss Dean Glover is hoping his side can produce a strong end to the season following their goalless draw with Aldershot on Tuesday.

The Shots almost snatched all three points at the death but Vale goalkeeper Chris Martin produced an excellent save to deny Jake Robinson.

If Robinson`s effort had gone in Glover believes it would have been unfair on his side, and said: "That would have been an injustice because I thought we deserved to win the game."

He added: "I saw a lot of good things in this game and against Bury on Saturday and it would be nice if we could finish the season strongly.

"I keep saying we are a young side but that is a fact and some of the lads are showing they are learning.

"We had quite a few chances to score but their goalkeeper has played very well and there were one or two other opportunities we could have done better with. But it is always a bonus to keep a clean sheet and I was pleased with how we defended as a team."
