Olly Lancashire goes straight into contention for a starting place against Notts County after returning to Grimsby on loan for the remainder of the season.

The centre-back played in 10 matches for the Mariners during a previous two-month spell before being recalled by Saints.

Lancashire made two cameo appearances in both of the south coast club`s FA Cup games in January but failed to establish himself as a regular in Alan Pardew's side and returned to Blundell Park on Monday.

On-loan forward Nicky Featherstone has returned to Hull while Danny Boshell, Jamie Clarke, Matt Heywood and Danny North were released from their contracts this week.

Midfielder Dean Sinclair and strikers Tommy Wright and Lee Peacock are in line for home debuts after making their first appearances for the club during the 1-1 draw at Aldershot.

Notts County caretaker manager Dave Kevan has no fresh injury concerns as his FA Cup heroes take on Grimsby.

Kevan's side are brimming with confidence after they knocked Premier League side Wigan out of the cup in a fourth-round replay on Tuesday night.

County have also won five of their last six games in League Two, while the Mariners have not won a league game since they beat Torquay 2-0 on September 19.

Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill came through the full 90 minutes of the win at the DW Stadium despite suffering concussion in a previous game and he will again be available.

Defender Graeme Lee and striker Luke Rodgers are fit after recent injuries and will again be on the bench as Lee Hughes and Karl Hawley lead the attack.
