Stockport have signed left-back Robbie Williams and he will make his debut in Saturday's npower League Two opener at Southend.

The former Huddersfield defender had been a free agent since the end of last season and further bolsters Paul Simpson's squad at Edgeley Park.

Mansour Assoumani, Mark Lynch, Jordan Rose and Barry Conlon have all arrived at the club since the former Shrewsbury boss took the helm last month.



Simpson has also brought Plymouth striker George Donnelly back to Edgeley Park on loan until January.
