Ian Hendon has been rewarded for steering Barnet to League Two safety by being given a new two-year-contract.
The 37-year-old former club captain took the reigns at Underhill until the end of the season on January 1 after Paul Fairclough moved up into an advisory role.
"I have to thank the players for coming on board and supporting me in the way I wanted to do things," Hendon told Barnet`s official website.
The Bees have moved away from the Football League relegation zone under Hendon`s stewardship and are currently on a six-game unbeaten run, with Hendon now looking to achieve further success in the future.
He added: "Now I can get on with the job at hand of building for next season."
Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous admits there was no doubt in his mind that Hendon was worthy of a new deal, saying: "When I saw how Ian had motivated the team there was never any doubt in my mind that he was the man for the job. I expect him to go forward to big things in the game."
