Shrewsbury winger Chris Humphrey has become Motherwell manager Jim Gannon's second signing of the summer.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract after rejecting the offer of a new deal at the League Two club.

Humphrey made 88 appearances for the Shrews and helped Paul Simpson's side reach the League Two play-off final last season.

He follows fellow midfielder Steve Jennings, who joined from Tranmere Rovers, north of the border to Fir Park.

However, his registration has come too late for the Europa League second qualifying round first-leg clash with KS Flamurtari Vlore on Thursday night and he has not travelled to Albania with the rest of the Motherwell squad.
