It has been a frustrating time at Highfield Road for Coventry's Julian Joachim. Since his move from Aston Villa in 2001 the diminutive striker has been sidelined with a catalogue of injuries. This season was meant to be a new beginning but an ankle injury ruled him out of the action again after only a few games. But good news for Coventry fans is that he his back playing and givemefootball's Lawrie Madden caught up with him after their 2-0 away defeat at Rotherham.

Q:A DISAPPOINTING RESULT AFTER A GOOD RUN OF GAMES?

A:Yes it was very disappointing result. We had our backs to the wall and conceded two goals which made it hard for ourselves. It is disappointing and frustrating.

Q:PRIOR TO THAT YOU WERE UNBEATEN IN EIGHT, SO THINGS ARE LOOKING UP?

A:Yes, but you have to remember that six of those had been draws. We have not as many wins as we should have. Too many have ended in draws and that is something we have to do something about. At the end of the day this game is about results and draws are okay but wins are vital.

Q:WHY HAVEN'T YOU BEEN ABLE TO TURN THOSE DRAWS INTO WINS?

A:It is difficult to say but we have been a little unlucky. Having said that there are no excuses. We have to go out and give it our best shot week in, week out. We need to go on a good run and keep the confidence high.

Q:WHY DO YOU THINK COVENTRY HAVE STRUGGLED IN THIS DIVISION?

A:This is a tough league and we noticed that from last year. Each season the division changes with different teams leaving and others coming so you have to adjust. We knock the ball around and pass and move and at times we look good, but we have to turn that into results and at the moment we are not getting them.

Q:ARE YOU CONFIDENT YOU CAN TURN THINGS AROUND?

A:Yes, I am. It doesn't take a lot. One win is all we need and then I feel we can move on because it breeds confidence. We don't feel we are playing that badly but we do need a win. With three points for a win you can make up a lot of places very quickly and that is why wins are important to us at the moment.

Q:HOW FRUSTRATING HAS IT BEEN FOR YOU, PERSONALLY?

A:I have not played as many games as I would have liked because of injuries. Now I just want to get a good run in the side and get back to playing on a regular basis. There is nothing worse than being injured and sitting on the side.

Q:THERE HAS BEEN A BIT OF SPECULATION ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. WHAT IS THE LATEST?

A:Well, I am still under contract. At the moment after all the injuries I have had over the last season or so it is important that I play well and score goals. I have missed too much football and so my main aim at the moment is to get back into the swing of things and be injury free.

Q:YOU HAVE A LOT OF INTERNATIONALS IN THE TEAM AND I SUPPOSE SOME PEOPLE WOULD THINK THAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING BETTER. WOULD YOU AGREE?

A:As I said, I don't think we are playing badly and we are a good footballing side. That is what the manager wants and insists upon. I think a win would be enough to get us on our way and up the league.
