Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous does not believe John O'Flynn will leave the club this summer because other sides prefer to sign cheaper players from abroad.
The Irish striker was one of the Bees' star performers in the recent League Two season, scoring 18 goals in his first season in English football.
His form has seen him linked with a move away from Underhill but Barnet are not expecting to sell him and Kleanthous does not think that the bigger clubs are in the market for lower league strikers anymore.
"If they have already got three strikers and want another one, they might consider John O'Flynn and then they will be offered someone from abroad who is cheap, so what they do is try those from abroad," he told PA Sport.
"If these players do not work out they end up carrying players that they maybe wouldn't have wanted and that restricts the movement from the lower leagues.
"In the old days someone would have purchased someone like John O'Flynn, but now they have three or four spares and they can't purchase him anyway."
