Rochdale extended their lead at the top of Coca-Cola League Two thanks to a 2-0 win over Crewe.

Chris O'Grady opened the scoring after six minutes and Matt Tootle's own goal put the seal on the win.

Dale's lead is now six points after Bournemouth were held to a goalless draw by Cheltenham at Dean Court.

Andy Morrell netted for Bury as they claimed a 1-0 win at Bradford that cements their place in the automatic promotion places.

Notts County, who are also chasing an automatic spot, claimed a 1-0 victory at Grimsby thanks to prolific striker Lee Hughes but Rotherham suffered an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at bottom club Darlington with Tadgh Purcell and Gareth Waite getting the goals.

Gavin McCallum's goal helped Hereford to a vital 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Torquay, while Lincoln City remain moored near the drop zone after they were beaten 2-1 at Chesterfield.

Dominic Green and Barry Conlon fired the Spireites 2-0 ahead and Moses Swaibu's goal was not enough to earn them a point.

John Johnson's goal saw Northampton boost their play-off push with a 1-0 victory at Dagenham and Redbridge while a double from Robert Grant helped Accrington Stanley win a five-goal thriller against Morecambe.

The game was tied at 2-2 after Grant and David Artell had claimed braces but James Ryan struck with seven minutes remaining to seal the win.

John O'Flynn also grabbed a double as Barnet hammered Aldershot 3-0, Micah Hyde grabbing the opener. There were also 1-0 wins for Shrewsbury at Macclesfield and Burton Albion at home to Port Vale.
