Jack Lester has committed his future to Chesterfield by signing a new one-year contract with the League Two club.
The 33-year-old striker, who has scored 50 goals in two seasons since moving to Saltergate from Nottingham Forest in June 2007, had 12 months remaining on his existing deal and will now remain with the Spireites until the summer of 2011.
He said: "I am really pleased as this contract extension means I can look forward to being part of the exciting new future being lined up for the club, including the move to the new stadium."
Chesterfield manager John Sheridan added: "I am delighted that by extending his contract Jack is now part of our longer-term plans."
