Lincoln have dismissed reports linking the club with a move for former Trinidad & Tobago international Dwight Yorke as `absolute nonsense.`

Rumours had emerged that the former Aston Villa and Manchester United striker, now 38, had been training with the League Two strugglers.

"It's absolute nonsense. We could talk hypothetically about anyone really, Diego Maradona coming or whoever," Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire.

"It's nonsense. He was a great player but he's retired and that's that."
