Veteran Lincoln defender Ian Pearce looks set to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

The 35-year-old player-assistant manager, who has been a regular in the Imps side, was forced off during the 3-1 home win over Hereford on Friday night.

Manager Chris Sutton said: "He's genuinely in a really bad way. He hasn't even been able to get out of bed since. I doubt he'll play again this season unless something dramatic happens. We will really miss him."

Sutton is already without Nathan Baker (ankle) for around another month and Adam Watts (broken leg) for the rest of the season, leaving him desperately short of defensive options.
