Notts County manager Ian McParland has invited two hot prospects to train with his side next week.

Ex-Bangor City striker Chris Sharp and Everton's former right-back John Irving will be put through their paces at Meadow Lane.

Sharp, 23, scored 27 goals in all competitions in the Welsh Premier League last season, and whilst the 19-year-old Irving failed to make an appearance for the Toffees, he did captain their reserves and was voted their Player of the Year in 2007.

"Both players will join us for training next week, so it will be a good opportunity for us to have a look at them up close," McParland told the club's official website.

"I've watched a DVD of Chris' goals and from what I've seen he looks to be a natural goalscorer so we'll have a good look at him, and John comes with a good reputation from Everton."
