Chesterfield have signed Manchester City youngster Donal McDermott on a three-month loan deal, subject to Football League ratification.
The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League outfit and spent time on loan at League One MK Dons last term.
The Dublin-born striker, who has recently penned a new two-year deal with City, is expected to go straight into John Sheridan's squad for the opening game of the season at Torquay when the move is completed.
