Rotherham have signed Gavin Gunning on a month-long loan from Blackburn.

The 19-year-old will go straight into the Millers' squad for Saturday's League Two clash against Grimsby.

Boss Ronnie Moore was delighted after securing his first signing of 2010 and he said: "Gavin is a bright lad and certainly one for the future, there is no doubt about that."

Moore added: "He is 6'2" and has got pace. He will give us some more strength and competition for places for that position.

"He has had a spell at Tranmere Rovers in League One so he has played at a higher level.

"He is a good player, I have seen a lot of him and we are pleased that Blackburn have allowed him to come out."
