Torquay have offered manager Paul Buckle a contract extension.
Buckle's side will line up in League Two this season following promotion from the Blue Square Premier and his current deal has only one-year remaining.
United chief executive Colin Lee, whose own contract also runs out next summer, told the Herald Express: "On behalf of the board, I have passed on a contract offer to Paul. We are waiting to see if it is acceptable to him."
