Luton boss Mike Newell has asked for a personal Football Association hearing after denying he aimed abuse at referee Steven Cummins.Newell was charged with "using abusive and/or insulting words" towards Cummins during his team´s 5-1 defeat at Preston on February 11.Luton goalkeeper Marlon Beresford, meanwhile, will learn on March 7 whether he faces a ban after being hit with a similar charge to Newell following his sending-off in the same match.
