Peter Jackson has revealed that he would consider allowing Stefan Oakes to leave Lincoln this summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder has failed to cement a regular starting place in Jackson's line-up at Sincil Bank and the recent signing of Richard Butcher has put his Imps future into question.

The former Wycombe man still has a year remaining on his contract with the League Two club but Jackson has admitted that the right offer could tempt him to part company with the player.

"We'll have to wait and see what happens over the summer," he told the Lincolnshire Echo. "Stefan's still under contract for another year, but if someone comes in for him, I would seriously consider letting him go.

"At the moment he is part of the squad and there is nothing we can do.

"I wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted to go, but Stefan would have to agree to it because I really like him as a person."
