Lincoln assistant manager Ian Pearce has agreed a playing contract at Sincil Bank.
The 35-year-old defender, who won the Premier League title alongside Imps manager Chris Sutton at Blackburn in 1995, has signed non-contract terms at the club.
The former Chelsea, Fulham and Southampton defender is in contention to make his debut at Macclesfield on Saturday.
